Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic has just shared his secret when it comes to clutch situations. It's not exactly an answer you'd typically expect, but it just is so on-brand for Jokic.
For the 7-foot Nuggets big man, it's actually quite simple. It's just all about not thinking about the moment:
“Because there is no pressure,” Jokic said, via Eurohoops.net. “It’s 3, 2, 1 and you need to shoot it. I cannot think about it. Should I pass… go and set a screen. I just don’t think and just shoot it. It’s easier.
That's quite an oversimplification from the Serbian national, but seeing how outstanding Jokic is in the clutch, you know that he isn't joking around with his statement here.

Jokic's ability in the clutch was on full display again on Saturday, leading his Nuggets to an impressive 134-132 double-overtime victory against the Utah Jazz. He stepped up when called upon and finished the contest with 30 points (on 11-of-21 shooting), 11 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. The big man forced the second overtime with a last-second shot.
This was an important victory for Denver, who's looking to keep the pressure on the second-seeded Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference. At the moment, the Nuggets are just a game and a half behind LA, so the second spot in the conference is still well within reach for Denver.
The Nuggets have three more seeding games remaining, starting with a matchup against the top team in the West on Monday in the Los Angeles Lakers. They take on the Clippers next on Wednesday before ending their regular season with a bout against the defending champs, the Toronto Raptors, on Friday.
