The Denver Nuggets live to fight another day! Facing eliminating in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors, Nikola Jokic and co. managed to snag one win, thus preventing a sweep. They are now facing a 3-1 lead against a stacked team that has been getting hot at the right time.

Despite the tremendous odds against the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic still believes they can knock out the Warriors. After their huge Game 4 dub, the Serbian behemoth noted that they've already overcome massive odds against them before. (via AP News)

“The odds are against us,” said MVP favorite Nikola Jokic. “But we’ve beaten the odds a couple of times, so why not?”

Indeed, the Nuggets have overcome terrible odds in the playoffs before. Who could forget their 2019 playoff run? Jokic and co. escaped not just one, but two 3-1 deficits in back-to-back series, before finally bowing to the eventual champion Lakers. This team knows exactly what they need to do in order to come back in this series.

There are many factors hurting the Nuggets' chances against the Warriors though. First: teams that are down 0-3 have historically not been able to complete a comeback. That makes sense: fighting for your playoff lives gets exponentially harder the more times you do it. They will need to muster a great performance every single night for them to have a shot.

Most importantly, though, Jamal Murray's absence continues to haunt their season. The Nuggets star was vital in their 2019 playoff run due to his scoring prowess. Not having him on the court is less than ideal for the team, especially as they try to match the insane firepower of this Warriors roster.
