Denver Nuggets forward Jarred Vanderbilt scored for the first time in his NBA career on Friday night, and his teammates' reactions said it all.

Vanderbilt, 19, checked in for the Nuggets with four minutes remaining in the team's commanding 132-95 win over the Phoenix Suns.

The Kentucky product was limited to 14 games in his college career due to left foot/ankle injuries, before being selected by Denver with pick No. 11 in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He averaged 5.9 points and 7.9 rebounds under John Calipari's Wildcats.

With the Nuggets' leading scorer Nikola Jokic serving a one-game suspension, Paul Millsap led the way with 20 points and nine rebounds. Eight other Denver players scored in double figures.

The Nuggets hold a resounding 32-15 record, and currently sit with the second-best record in the Western Conference behind only the Golden State Warriors.

It's safe to say the Nuggets are excited for what is yet to come with the rookie, but given the team's success this year, it is likely he won't get much exposure until they need him to step into an essential role.

Denver will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.
