The 2020 NBA Playoffs got started early on Monday afternoon, and it didn't take long for ESPN color commentator Doris Burke to deliver some golden nuggets in her description of Denver Nuggets stud Michael Porter Jr.'s smooth jumper.

The Nuggets forward buried two early triples in the opening quarter, and it didn't take long for Burke to compare his jump shot to none other than Kevin Durant. Check it out:

“I don't want KD mad at me, Kevin Durant, but … did that not have a Kevin Durant walk-up 3 feel, release point, quickness, fluidity, mechanics?” asked Burke in the booth.

Burke draws the comparison based on Porter's size as a 6-foot-10 scorer, though there might be some discrepancy between the two jumpers.

The Nuggets youngster has been absolutely hot during his short stint in the NBA bubble, making 42.2% of his shots from deep. Of course, there were some jokes as well about Porter's rather questionable beliefs:

Durant has been honing his handle, jumper, and one-on-one game from a very early age, a rare breed of a small forward with point-guard-like handles and buttery-smooth jumpers off the dribble.

Comparing a rookie to a veteran star like Durant might be a reach, but Burke has never been shy about making them when she feels they're right.

Porter has tons of potential, but drawing the line between a rookie on the rise and one of the best shooters in league history could be quite the jump. The Nuggets wing could get there in time, but Durant's form and craft are straight out of a museum exhibit:

Durant has also been notorious for clapping back at anyone with an opinion. Though it's heavily unlikely he will go as hard as Burke, who is one of the most well-liked on-air talents among NBA players:

We'll have to wait and see.
