While he may have secured a five-year, max deal worth $146.5 million with the Denver Nuggets over the summer, big man Nikola Jokic has yet to add dunking into his offensive arsenal. As proven by a recent clip making its rounds on social media, the 23-year-old is still a very long way from gaining a reputation as a dunker.

In the brief four-second clip, Jokic is seen taking a crack at a spectacular dunk attempt, which as expected, turns out miserably for the Serbian.

Jokic was not even close on his under-the-legs dunk attempt. His vertical is pretty much non-existent, which made this move look more like a fancy crossover dribble than an actual dunk attempt. The fact that he stands 6-foot-10 makes this “attempt” even more hilarious.

Nicknamed the Joker, the former 41st overall pick does have a bit of a reputation as a funny man. Based on his teammate's reactions, it appears that Jokic was just looking to induce a few laughs as opposed to making a SportsCenter-worthy dunk.

To say that dunking is not part of Jokic's game would be a huge understatement. In fact, in 75 games played last year, the former Adriatic League standout made only eight dunks throughout the season. That is an absolute far cry from all other centers in the league.

Nevertheless, Jokic's 18.5 points per game from his breakout season last year is in the upper echelon for big men. A dunk — no matter how spectacular — still only counts for two points, and this is obviously a motto Jokic lives by.
