The Golden State Warriors had a disappointing ending to their second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Stephen Curry was injured before halftime in Game 1 and the Warriors never recovered. They lost the next four games, including a 121-110 home loss in Game 5 that sent them home.

In Curry's absence, Jimmy Butler had to shoulder more of the offensive load for Golden State. The former All-Star couldn't deliver, prompting questions from the media about his effectiveness. “Playoff Jimmy” didn't make an appearance against the Timberwolves outside of Game 3, and it cost his team.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst broke down how the Warriors need to approach the offseason on Friday's episode of “The Hoop Collective”. While speaking about Butler, Tim McMahon drew a comparison between the forward and the superheroes he has likened himself and Curry to.

“Jimmy [Butler] reminded us that is a heck of a Robin, he's no longer a Batman,” said McMahon about the Warriors forward. “That was proven without a shadow of a doubt this series.”

Golden State general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. made one of the biggest moves of the season when he acquired Butler from Miami. The Warriors' players thought the move was so impactful that Draymond Green guaranteed another title for Golden State. Instead, Minnesota sent them right back to the drawing board.

The Warriors have some flexibility when it comes to their assets, but they don't have much money to spend. If they are going to upgrade their roster, it will likely be through a trade. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Golden State is looking for either another wing or a center this summer. One of the names connected to them is Giannis Antetokounmpo.

With Curry, Butler, and Green all over 35 years old, the Warriors' championship window is closing rapidly. The team said that it wants to do everything it can to make the most of Curry's career. While bringing in Antetokounmpo would help them with that, it is unlikely to happen.

Golden State is one of many teams to watch on the trade market as they search for another contributor. Fans are curious to see whether or not the team will move on from its youth in order to fight for one last championship.
