It's pretty simple, according to Klay Thompson.
The starting shooting guard for Team USA basketball was pretty blunt when asked about the team and it's recent struggles.
“We control our own destiny,” Thompson said. “We just got to trust each other on both sides of the ball. If we do that and play hard, I don’t think we’ll lose.”

Despite being labeled as “struggling,” the United States is still undefeated. It has just won its last three games by a combined 16 points, something this team isn't used to.
Thompson has been a big part of the struggle and was even removed from the starting lineup due to his uncharacteristically poor shooting early in the tournament.
The Warriors shooting guard had totaled just 11 points through the first four games in Rio while shooting a miserable 3 of 16 from beyond the 3-point line. In the final game of group stage, Thompson got his act together leading Team USA past France with 30 points on a 7 for 13 effort from downtown.
Team USA is going to need more of the same from Thompson to ensure they continue on through the knockout stage. The United States plays Argentina in the quarterfinals later today at 5:45 p.m. EST.
