Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala is expected to play in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors after his Friday MRI came back clean, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Iguodala came out limping in the dying moments of Game 1 after making a hook shot with 1:55 remaining in the fourth quarter of Thursday's game. He was removed immediately after a defensive possession, watching the rest of the game from the sidelines.

The 35-year-old has experienced lower body injuries in the past few years, and most recently costing him Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, as he watched his team sweep the Portland Trail Blazers from the bench.

Iguodala's health is somewhat compromised, given that he's been forced into more minutes during the Warriors' series against the Houston Rockets and now lasting through the absence of Kevin Durant.

The veteran had nine days of rest after the Warriors crowned themselves Western Conference champions for a fifth straight season, but it seems these lingering injuries are likely to flare up the rest of the way unless coach Steve Kerr can find a way to diminish his minutes in the upcoming games.

Iguodala played only 29 minutes on Thursday, as Shaun Livingston took his place as a lengthy defender in the rotation.

Golden State has been plagued with injuries this postseason, ranging from Stephen Curry's dislocated finger to DeMarcus Cousins' torn quad, and most vitally — Durant's calf, which so far has proven to be the biggest hole in the team's championship hopes.
