The Golden State Warriors enter the 2017 NBA Finals hitting stride after having swept through the Western Conference playoffs with a perfect 12-0 record.

One of the key factors in their clean playoff run has been the play of All-Star forward Draymond Green, who is averaging 13.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 1.9 steals in the postseason. However, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is most impressed with another aspect regarding Green, according to Connor Letourneau of SF Gate.

“I’ve never seen (Green) in a better place emotionally,” said Steve Kerr, who filled in for acting head coach Mike Brown (flu) during the team’s post-practice media availability Monday. “Still playing with rage, desire and force, but totally under control.”

“He’s in a good spot, obviously,” Kerr said. “He’s got no flagrants, one ‘T’ and he’s playing out of his mind.”

Green's emotional state was a prominent topic of discussion in last year's NBA Finals after he missed Game 5 due to receiving a flagrant 1 foul for hitting LeBron James in the groin. There are many that argue that his absence completely shifted the series in the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ direction to become the first team in league history to overcome a 3-1 series deficit in the NBA Finals.
Since then, the 27-year-old has kept his emotions in check for the most part in the playoffs only getting assessed with two technical fouls. In fact, Green's emotions have been a complete non-factor especially due to the fashion that the Warriors have rolled through to a third straight NBA Finals appearance.
If things were to go sideways again for the Warriors in any fashion this time around, expect Green to be front and center of all that regardless of what his actions may be.
