San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's stand against racial oppression has generated a lot of talk and has had other prominent personalities voice out their take on the violence the country has been witnessing. From current and former NBA players, they have been more vocal in showing support and wanting the unfortunate deaths to end.

Now, a champion coach is the latest to give his take on the said issues.

Golden State Warriors head bench boss Steve Kerr has chimed in on how America should feel about what's going on in the country these days. In a video tweeted by Anthony Slater of the Bay Area News Group, the 2015-2016 Coach of the Year had this to say:

“It's probably one of the best things to come out of the Kaepernick issue is that people are talking, and that's a good thing. No matter what side of the spectrum you're on, I would hope that every American is disgusted with what is going on around the country, what just happened in Tulsa two days ago with Terence Crutcher.”

“It doesn't matter what side you're on on the Kaepernick stuff, you better be disgusted about the things that are happening. I understand people who are offended by his stance. Maybe they have a military family member who is offended. Maybe they lost somebody in a war and that flag or the anthem means a lot more to them than someone else. But then you flip it around, and what about non-violent protests? That's America. This is what our country is about. It's a non-violent protest. That's what it should be about.”

Kerr also told the media surrounding him that he will be addressing these acts of protests with his team before the start of the season and give his support to them should they opt to also give a public demonstration.

“As long as the message is clear, I'm all for people speaking out against injustice, whatever form that takes, if it's non-violent and it leads to conversation, then I think that's a good thing.”

It is expected that some players or even coaches will make a stand against the violence in the country. When and how they'll show it is anybody's guess at this point, but if there's one thing certain, it will be much talked about and publicized as it continues to be a very controversial topic.
