Stephen Curry will be on a minutes limit when he returns to action for Game 1 of the Golden State Warriors' first-round matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. He likely won't be a hundred percent, but his mere presence gives the Dubs a major advantage.
For Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala, however, he's now looking back at Curry's injury spell as a positive development for the team. It's not that he's saying that they're a better basketball team without Steph — because they're absolutely not. What the Warriors vet is trying to point out here is that Curry's absence has forced the team to raise their level of play.
Speaking to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Iguodala said that without Curry in the lineup, the Warriors quickly realized that they needed to “play A+ basketball to win.” They had to be “damn near perfect” in order to keep winning even without their superstar point guard. According to Iggy, Steph being out for as long as he was “helped us come to the realization that we gotta play great basketball.”

The Warriors were far from perfect without Curry, but they definitely held their own. They kept their foot on the gas and they were able to hold on to the third seed in the West.
Now that Curry's back in the picture, this team will be out to prove that absolutely nobody should be sleeping on the Golden State Warriors right now.
