Draymond Green has now lost 12 of his first 14 games of the season, something that can easily be deemed unprecedented for the Golden State Warriors defensive ace and perennial winner. The 6-foot-6 power forward admitted it's been tough to handle this much losing, considering he's now lost more games through the first month of the season than he had altogether during a record-breaking 2015-16 campaign.
“It's frustrating,” Green recently admitted to Logan Murdock of NBC Sports Bay Area. “I've never lost at this rate in my life, but I just got to look at the bright side. Just try to make sure that I'm leading these young guys the right way.”
The Warriors have dealt with a slew of long-term injuries, starting with Kevin Durant's torn Achilles in Game 5 of the NBA Finals and quickly followed by Klay Thompson's torn ACL in Game 6. Only four games into the 2019-20 season, the Warriors lost their only hope for the playoffs in Stephen Curry, who is now sidelined with a broken hand for the next three months, at the least.
Just like that, Golden State lost its top three players in a span of six games.

The Warriors have only been able to dress nine players for a while now, with D'Angelo Russell, Kevon Looney, Damion Lee, and other notables still out with their own ailments. Head coach Steve Kerr admitted Green is trying to make the most of this:
“He knows he has to be the guy, and he does a great job of it,” said Kerr. “He's doing a good job of being patient because these are trying times for our team and for him.”
Green has been a winner in high school, then again in college with Michigan State, and perhaps has won at an even higher rate during the Warriors' five-year run of dominance.
Surely it's not easy to endure taking this many L's, but it's all part of a growth process that goes beyond wins and losses.
