Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green firmly believes that his Flagrant 2 foul call and ejection were an exaggeration on the NBA's part. He even went to NBA on TNT to explain why he thinks it shouldn't have been called that way.
To recall, Green was ejected late in the second quarter of Game 1 against the Memphis Grizzlies after his foul on Brandon Clarke. While the Memphis forward was airborne, the Golden State vet hit him in the face and pulled his jersey down.
The foul was certainly dangerous, but the Warriors and many others argue that it doesn't warrant a Flagrant 2 call since there was nothing excessive in the play. Green even looked like he was stopping Clarke from falling.
In Green's part, he denied pulling down Clarke and mentioned that it's the law of gravity in the works.

As many fans pointed out, though, there is one problem in Draymond Green's explanation: the fact that he was holding Clarke's jersey. That certainly goes against his explanation that he didn't yank him.
Regardless of his explanation, however, Green can no longer do anything about it but move on. The NBA upheld the Flagrant 2 ruling, so he just needs to be careful next time and make sure he won't be thrown out.
