The Golden State Warriors emerged victorious over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of their NBA Playoffs series matchup. The Dubs were able to secure the win without the services of forward Draymond Green, who was ejected from the game. Green was removed from the contest with under two minutes remaining in the first half due to a Flagrant 2 foul he committed on Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke.

The play was a controversial one, as many felt that Green's physical foul on Clarke, which occurred while the Memphis forward was rising up for a dunk, was not worthy of an ejection from the contest. On Monday, the NBA addressed the controversy by revealing its final decision on Green's Flagrant 2, as reported by Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Per Charania, the NBA will not be reducing Green's Flagrant 2 from the NBA Playoff game against the Grizzlies. As explained by Slater, this is a big development, as the foul will count as two flagrant points, with four points equaling an automatic one-game suspension.

Green will now have to tread very carefully for not only the remainder of this series, but for the rest of the NBA Playoffs as well. Given his physical style of play, that could ultimately prove to be difficult.

As Warriors fans know all too well, Green's presence is vital to the Dubs' success, especially in the playoffs. Whether the league's ruling is fair or not, the reality is that Green will have to avoid putting the refs in a position to make potentially series-changing decisions like this in the future.
