When your team full of stars plays a rare bad game of basketball, sometimes you just have to learn from it and immediately put it behind you. Although the Golden State Warriors (40-11) were blown out 129-99 on the road Tuesday night against the Utah Jazz, center JaVale McGee was still able to poke fun at himself with a picture he posted to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.
In the picture, Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell is about to take a jump shot with McGee contesting. However, as the Warriors reserve describes it, the center actually looks like he's trying to teach Mitchell how to shoot the ball rather than get a hand up to block the shot.
“Me: lift ya elbow up a little more and follow thru!” McGee joked on Twitter.

The Warriors committed a whopping 20 turnovers on the night with only 5-of-25 shots made from 3-point range, which left head coach Steve Kerr justifiably disgusted with his team's performance. In a postgame interview with Warriors beat writer Chris Haynes of ESPN, Kerr let out his frustration.
“I think our guys will tell you that was a pathetic effort out there. That was disgusting basketball,”We just didn't start out the game with any force defensively. We weren't staying into bodies, they were just stopping behind screens, we were lazy on our switches. We played with no sense of urgency, no sense of purpose, and they're obviously fighting for the playoffs.”
Despite the Warriors' extremely sloppy performance, McGee actually had a pretty good game off the bench. In just 16 minutes of action, McGee finished with 14 points on 7-of-8 shots from the field. However, the only shot he missed was one of the ugliest 3-point attempts of recent memory.
