Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant will miss Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night as a result of a calf strain, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is not sure if Durant will even travel with the team to Toronto, per Mark Medina of The Mercury News.
Durant originally sustained the injury during the second half of Game 5 of the Warriors' second-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets and has been sidelined ever since.
Golden State has managed just fine without him, going on to win Game 5 before closing out the Rockets in Game 6. The Dubs then proceeded to sweep the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference Finals.

It is not yet known if Durant will even be able to return at some point during the Finals, as some have suggested that the injury is actually worse than people are letting on.
If Durant does indeed miss the Finals, he may very well have played his last game as a member of the Warriors.
The 30-year-old is hitting free agency this summer, and the general consensus is that Durant will not be re-signing with Golden State. The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers are considered his top potential landing spots by most.
Kevin Durant landed with the Warriors during the summer of 2016 and went on to win championships with Golden State in each of his first two seasons, taking home Finals MVP honors both years.
