A shorthanded Golden State Warriors squad suffered a disappointing blowout loss at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, 123-95. This was the Dubs' third straight loss and their sixth in the last seven games.
Right now, there's absolutely no denying that the Warriors are in a major slump. Nevertheless, Dubs big man Kevon Looney insists that there's just no pressure on the team right now:
“I wouldn’t really say we feel the pressure,” Looney said, via Eric He of NBC Sports. “A lot of us haven’t even experienced the playoffs. They don’t even know what the pressure is like. We’re young as a group. We don’t really have a lot of adversity.”
That's a fair point from Looney. How can you feel the gravity of the situation when you don't even know what's coming, right?
Looney continued by saying that the team remains in high spirits despite their losing streak. According to the 26-year-old, everything's just fine and they're all just enjoying the ride:

“We don’t have that here,” Looney said. “We’ve still been playing with a lot of joy. Guys are still happy to come to work. We’re still plucking away. That’s a part of being young. The pressure isn’t getting to us. We just have to figure out how to win. We got to get our feet together and get our chemistry right. I think we have the people and the leaders to do that.”
I'm not sure coach Steve Kerr is very joyful right now. The same can be said about the veterans on the team, which includes Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, to name a few. All three stars have been out of action of late and in their stead, it's the younger players on the team that have been soaking up the heavy minutes. They haven't been winning, but at least they're having fun.
Warriors rookie Moses Moody echoed Looney's thoughts — somewhat. Ignorance is bliss for the Dubs youngster, but unlike the pressure-less Kevon Looney, Moody knows that there's a lot riding on the line here:
“Given that I haven't experienced the playoffs, I wouldn't necessarily know why or exactly what we’re up against, but I know it’s something and I know it’s a lot,” Moody said. “So, with the unknown, there’s still pressure too. You want to get it all together before whatever it is goes down.”
