The Golden State Warriors do not expect to have Klay Thompson back to start the season. As a matter of fact, he's set to miss the first few months of the regular season as he continues his road to recovery from two major injuries.
A video of Thompson putting in some work during a recent Warriors practice is currently makings its rounds on social media. Taking from this clip alone, it does feel like Klay is nearer to a return than most would expect (h/t Anthony Slater of The Athletic):

In case you missed it, Thompson is at the far end of the court in the video. He's wearing a blue shirt with his trademark yellow headband. The Warriors star showed off his bounce from the get-go as he threw down a one-handed slam at the start of the clip. He then proceeded to do a few lay-ups and a couple of jumpers before going for a reverse dunk from the baseline.
While it did look like Thompson was holding back a bit, it is clear that he's now looking as good as ever since he went down with an injury a couple of years back. It is worth noting, though, that the Warriors stud himself raised one major concern as he closes in on his comeback. There are still a number of hurdles he needs to get through, but at this point, it's hard not to get excited about the return of Klay Thompson.
