Even though they’ve had several battles in the NBA Finals in recent years, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green have had mutual respect and formed a bond. Aside from being on-court rivals, they are also represented by LeBron’s close friend Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.
So when Green had a highlight move against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, LeBron was just as hyped as the Warriors as he reacted to the play on his Instagram Stories.

In the play, Green went coast to coast and had a transition dunk on Mavericks All-Star guard Luka Doncic, which had the Warriors going crazy on the bench. The King, who played later in the day when the Lakers hosted the Denver Nuggets, was clearly impressed.

Green's poster on Doncic was one of several highlight plays from the Warriors as they cruised to a 147-116 victory over the Mavericks to move up to 12-10 this season. The do-it-all Green finished with 11 points, six rebounds, and a game-high 15 assists in 29 minutes.
The Warriors had seven players score in double figures, including all their starters led by Kelly Oubre’s career-best 40 points and Stephen Curry’s 28 markers.
LeBron James, meanwhile, finished with a triple-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in the Lakers’ 114-93 victory over the Nuggets. LBJ and Day Day have met in four heated NBA Finals series, including in 2016 when Green infamously kicked LeBron in the groin, earning him a suspension in a critical Game 5.
But it’s clear now that they are anything but rivals, with the four-time MVP appreciating Green’s poster dunk.
