Another day, another 3-point record by Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors. The sharpshooting guard just moved past LeBron James for most threes in the NBA Finals.

As observed by StatMuse, Curry's four 3-pointers in the first half was enough for him to surpass the Cleveland Cavaliers star to become the all-time leader in 3-point makes in the NBA Finals:

Curry is now up to 84 threes in the NBA Finals. James has 83. Robert Horry — known for his clutch performances for the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and the Los Angeles Lakers, is in third place with 56 makes from downtown. Next up is Curry's Splash Brother, Klay Thompson with 55. He is tied with the NBA all-time leader in 3-point field goals, Ray Allen.

It's a monumental achievement for Curry. Though it is expected that with a shooter of his caliber, he'll eventually break all 3-point related records. James is not really known for being a marksman. His multiple finals appearances (an impressive feat in itself) has allowed him to grab a ton of finals records.

There are still several games remaining in the NBA Finals. The distance between Curry and James is pretty close. Thompson, though far behind, is very capable of coming within an inch of the two. Thompson, given his personality, is not really the type who eyes such records. Though it would still be exciting to see him catching in on his teammate.
