Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry has passed Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen for 20th place on the NBA's all-time Finals scoring list.

Pippen scored 664 points in the NBA Finals during his legendary career. Curry entered Game 4 on Friday with 662 points in the Finals.

Prior to Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Curry is averaging 28.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game in the playoffs.

For the Warriors to win this series against the Toronto Raptors, they will likely need Curry to play the role of Superman like he did in Game 3 when he scored a playoff career-high 47 points. It doesn't look like small forward Kevin Durant is going to play in the Finals, with Saturday marking a month since Durant suffered his calf injury.

If the Dubs can win this series, Curry will most certainly capture his first Finals MVP award. Anytime you can pass Pippen on any record, you are doing something right. As we all know, Curry is going to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer one day. It would be great, though, if the two-time league MVP could win a Finals MVP award.

First things first: the Warriors have to win Game 4 on Friday to even up the series at 2-2.
