Golden State Warriors fans may have to wait a little longer to see Stephen Curry back in action. In the latest update regarding his tail bone injury, head coach Steve Kerr shared that the guard is set to miss at least three more games.
Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Kerr said that Curry put up some light work in practice but was still experiencing some discomfort in the injured area. It was later confirmed there was inflammation in the tailbone, shutting down the Warriors' hopes of an earlier return.
Steph Curry is out another week. Got an MRI this morning and "it showed inflammation in that tailbone," per Kerr. So he's going to miss at least another three games. "This is going to be a little bit longer than we thought and hoped," Kerr said.

This is a major setback not only for Curry, but also for the entire Warriors squad. After all, Steph is their scoring leader, star and heart. Kerr's offensive system places great importance on Curry's superb shooting and playmaking. Without the two-time MVP, the Dubs will definitely have a difficult time getting buckets.
It has already been a tough 2020-21 NBA season for the Warriors. A month before the season kicked off, they lost Klay Thompson to an ACL injury, erasing the hopes that Golden State will return to title form this season.
Dubs fans remained optimistic that the team can at least make the playoffs this year. That alone would be a remarkable sign of progress considering how new their roster is. But as of this writing, the Warriors sport a 22-21 record for ninth in the West. A lot can still happen, but with an unhealthy Curry, things might be looking dire for the Bay Area squad.
