The line between the NBA and entertainment is more or less gone. Professional athletes have dabbled in crossover entertainment for a while now, starring in movies, making music and featuring in TV shows. Another off-court medium pro athletes love to explore? Wrestling.

The WWE, as the premier organization in pro wrestling, has featured countless cameos from NBA stars since its inception. That got us thinking about WWE Superstar potential in NBA rosters. One squad that has some interesting characters is the Golden State Warriors. The league-leading Warriors boast an extremely cohesive, well-balanced roster on the basketball court, but it's time to look at their pro wrestling potential.

Here are two Warriors players who would make great WWE Superstars.

Warriors potential WWE superstars

Draymond Green

Let's state the obvious: Draymond Green would be an absolute star in the WWE. The Warriors' emotional leader is a distinctive personality, a villain to the entire NBA and a hero to Warriors fans. He could channel that dichotomy to become a very productive professional wrestler. There are countless other reasons why he'd make a seamless transition to the ring, too.

Green's penchant for playing to the crowd is legendary. With Warriors fans, Green strikes a note due to his passion for the team and his sacrificial style of play on the court. However, with other fans in the league, Green is a very controversial character. That proves that he can be many things at once, hinting at a possible polarizing personality in WWE. CM Punk, even as he gradually became a heel, was still beloved by many of his fans. He's one of the biggest stars of professional wrestling, and Green would be, too.

His obvious WWE fit is also about Green's size and athleticism. He is known mostly for his defensive prowess, but the Warriors forward is also fairly athletic. He could be a hybrid between an athletic wrestler, and a bigger figure who'd have vibes of a slightly smaller Big E. Of course, Green would focus a lot more on his personality than his size. Green's mic work would be in line with the best of the best; he's already made a future career for himself as a part-time analyst and commentator on Inside The NBA.

In the WWE, Green's personality would come to full fruition. He has not held back from absolutely trolling everyone around the NBA. Green famously called out the Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State's 2015 championship parade, an instant-classic bit of trash talk. It wasn't the first time he trolled the Cavs specifically, and he has not held back on other teams as well. In the WWE, he could lean even further into playing the antagonist.

Klay Thompson

This was a difficult choice. Many other players on the Warriors roster would also fare well in the WWE. Stephen Curry is an obvious choice. Andre Iguodala has not held back from expressing himself in various ways, showing some acting and dancing talent, which could translate well into professional wrestling. However, even they don't come close to matching the entertaining nature of Klay Thompson.

At 6'6”, 220 pounds, Thompson has plenty of size and strength to be a professional wrestler. The Warriors superstar could be a mid-level, athletic wrestler whose character can be built around his personality. Thompson's personality cannot be properly explained in a few sentences due to its peculiarity, but is the cornerstone of his hypothetical WWE future.

In the simplest of terms, Thompson can be funny even when he does not really wish to be. His candid reactions, especially his performance during the Warriors tour of China in 2017, were very entertaining. He's a very relatable player to NBA fans; he doesn't even shy away from cracking open a beer during post-game interviews. That would translate well into professional wrestling, for the simple reason of most wrestlers in the WWE being very different from most fans.
