For some players who did not make it to the playoffs, or the ones who got eliminated in its earlier rounds, it gives them the opportunity to have an extended vacation, and try things they haven’t done in the past.

One of them is Houston Rockets star guard James Harden, who recently agreed to appear in a music video for his good friend and rapper, Travis Scott. The featured song had the title, “Way Back,” and The Beard was the main star. It showcased his skills on the court as well as acting and lip syncing to some of the bars from the track.

Harden’s decision to star in the music video came after more than a month of recruitment from Scott, who is also a big fan of his. Scott had nothing but high praise for Harden and even went as far as calling him the “greatest player of all time,” in an interview with ESPN's Calvin Watkins.

It remains to be seen how the public will patronize the song, but with its catchy beat and the star power Harden has, it won’t be surprising if it becomes a hit, and could even lead to more music videos down the road.
