He also had six rebounds and six assists. Backcourt partner Chris Paul had a decent game with 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
It was an exciting series with the Jazz applying a unique defensive strategy to stop Harden. Aware of his deadly stepback 3-pointer, Jazz defenders sat on Harden's left arm and forced him to drive right at the hoop to meet Rudy Gobert — one of the league's top ring protectors.
The Jazz were successful more times than not. In Game 3, they forced Harden to a 0-of-15 start. It wasn't until in the fourth quarter that he made a field goal. Despite this, Harden found ways to score and dish. Lobs to Clint Capela became a go-to play. He also managed to drop several floaters over the outstretched arms of Gobert.
The Rockets will either play the Golden State Warriors or the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Dubs are the top favorites to move on, as they currently lead their series 3-1. If so, it'll be one hell of a series between two of the best teams in the NBA today.
