Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Jackson and Indiana Pacers forward Paul George had agreed to rent a place south of Los Angeles and split the cost this summer.
A pretty well thought-out move since George is a Southern California guy and Jackson often works out in the same area.
George found a place west of L.A., but to Jackson's taste, it was a bit over the top.

“I was like, ‘Nah, we ain’t renting this.’
“Next thing I know, he is, ‘This is where we staying. I’m not renting that; I bought it.’
“I was like, ‘I’m not paying rent on that one,’ but he said, ‘Nah, man, you good.’
“He was like, ‘just come stay with me.’ ”
Prior to their offseason rooming adventure, George spent six weeks of his summer helping Team USA win a third consecutive gold medal at the Rio Olympics. The pair also went on a trip through Europe together prior to the Olympics.
Jackson did not want to feel like a freeloader, so he paid the bill for a private chef when George was in town.
“He’s ready to have his retirement spot, so that was the investment he made,” Jackson said. “That’s my man, so I ain’t going to let him eat all the costs.”
