Enes Kanter gave everyone a warning about the Utah Jazz's home crowd and Game 6 of the Salt Lake City team's first-round matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder was the perfect opportunity for these fans to show just how raucous they can get for their team.
One of the referees in Eric Lewis got a first-hand taste of the Jazz fans' energy and spite as chants were directed at the officials at one point. Basically, the crowd was giving them quite an emphatic performance review.
That is an epic reaction by Lewis. Referees usually let these jeers slip by, but he has taken the different route on this occasion. Maybe Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook could take some pointers from Lewis when it comes to handling rowdy fans as his reaction as he was on his way to the tunnel after the game isn't ideal.
In the end, Jazz fans got the result they wanted as their team had gone to upset the higher-seeded Thunder, 96-91. In fact, they could offer some thanks to the referees for swallowing their whistle on Rudy Gobert's contest of Paul George's 3-pointer that would've tied the game in the closing seconds.
But above all, Jazz fans are fortunate to have a super rookie in Donovan Mitchell who has taken his game a notch higher in the playoffs after an already-impressive regular season.
