New York Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis’ two older brothers, Janis and Martins, still haven’t returned to the United States because of a delay with their PS1 work visas, the New York Daily News reports.
The delay is due to the US government’s “request for evidence” on Janis’ and Martins’ renewal petitions, which means they need to show some proof that they are essential to Kristaps. Janis is Kristaps’ agent, while Martins is his manager.
These requests have been more prevalent under the current administration, which has adopted the president’s “Buy American, Hire American” philosophy.

Apart from being his agent and manager, Kristaps’ older brothers also serve as his best friends and have lived with him in New York for his first two years in the league. Kristaps has experienced being without his brothers during his time in Spain, though, so their potential absence shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
For what it's worth, his brothers played a huge role in keeping Kristaps' focus in check by deflecting all the unnecessary offseason noise while the Knicks rising star was busy working out.
