Kristaps Porzingis, the unquestioned best and most important New York Knicks player today, wants people, especially fans, to stop worrying too much about his elbow.
Porzingis can’t blame people for being concerned about the status of his right elbow, despite this being one of the most convenient explanations as to why the 7-foot-3 Latvian is shooting poorly of late.

“I got to fix all the little details,” Porzingis said. “Look at the film, look at my shots and not overthink about it. Sometimes there are good shots, but it’s just in and out. The elbow is not bothering me at all. I don’t want to blame it on the elbow. Get some rest and not overthink about those kinds of things.”
Porzingis could be telling the truth here, as it’s entirely possible that his shots are simply just not falling. Porzingis has had a hot start to the season; which might have gotten plenty of Knicks fans spoiled to the point they expect the third-year big man to drop 30 points each night.
Whatever the case may be, Porzingis will have to recover from his slump soon if the Knicks are to be a playoff contender in the Eastern Conference.
