Every New York Knicks fan collectively gasped in horror when Kristaps Porzingis appeared to hurt his knee in Thursday's win over the Brooklyn Nets.

The injury was of the non-contact variety, which is always scary when it's a knee. Porzingis tried to come back and play on it, but eventually left the game for good.

After the game, however, Kristaps Porzingis was walking on his own power, albeit with some pain. The Knicks' unicorn did not seem all too concerned with the injury, per Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

“I mean, I’m walking around. It shouldn’t be anything like (a damaged ACL),” Porzingis said. “It will be much more clearer (Friday). But I’m not, you know, I should have some pain, some bad pain, but I’m not. I’m standing. It’s just them being cautious. (Friday), we’ll find out more.”

If the injury is in any ways serious, it would be a big blow to the Knicks. Knee injuries are always difficult to diagnose immediately after a player goes down with one, and often innocuous-sounding updates like “sprained knee” turn out to become ligament damage.

It's good that Kristaps Porzigis doesn't think the injury is too serious, but only time will tell. The Knicks are likely collectively holding their breaths, too.
