The New York Knicks are coming off perhaps their most clutch performance in the 2017-18 NBA season with a thrilling win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Not only were the Knicks able to snap a four-game losing streak, budding superstar Kristaps Porzingis was able to break out of the current funk he was in during that span.

Despite managing to hold off a Pelicans' comeback led by the superstar frontcourt of DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis, Porzingis felt the Knicks were a bit too giddy about the win. While Porzingis' message may have come from good intentions, it was comical nonetheless. That said, he managed to deliver big time on Saturday night with 30 points and seven rebounds. He was also a force on the defensive end with two blocks and two steals.

He finally managed to break out of the shooting slump he had endured throughout the Knick's recent losing streak by going 11-for-22 from the field. Not to mention a few highlight buckets down the stretch to help seal the victory and end the year with a win. While Porzingis still has some work to do regarding post-game quotes, it is clear he has started to figure out the intricacies of winning close games.
