The Los Angeles Lakers, who have lost four straight and seven of their last eight games, canceled practice on Thursday and instead had a team meeting. According to Bill Oram of the Orange County Register, rising star forward Brandon Ingram told the media that the team had a meeting to watch film and discuss various topics with players.

There is clearly frustration within the Lakers organization right now, so a meeting like this was definitely what Ingram and his teammates needed.

“Hopefully we think about what we said to each other,” Ingram said. “What we said to the coaches and that the coaches have listened to what we said. Hopefully we can take it into practice, into games and just get better.”

Ingram also said that the participation during the meeting was great and that guys had a good idea of what to do in order to make the team better.

“I think everybody pitched out how they thought we could be better as a team, be more effective and how we could just have each other’s backs. I think it was well-needed,” Ingram said. “These last two games were very winnable games, and I don’t think we played up to our potential.”

Lakers rising star forward Kyle Kuzma also echoed his teammate Ingram's words.

“We just really had a heart to heart, trying to get back on the same page,” Kuzma said. “Everybody on the team said something.”

The Lakers, who will start forward Julius Randle for the first time this season tonight, will try to halt their four-game losing streak when they host the L.A. Clippers at Staples Center.
