The Los Angeles Lakers' Isaiah Thomas is usually a laid back and calm individual. However, New Orleans Pelicans guard Rajon Rondo is a short-tempered player who sometimes rubs people the wrong way.

What happens when both of those players mix? It definitely wasn't a good sight. On Wednesday afternoon, the Lakers took on the Pelicans on the road. Coincidentally, Rondo got into it with Thomas, and both players ended up getting ejected from the game.

It was definitely a bizarre scene, mainly because Thomas and Rondo have no history together and because they were tossed rather quickly. Many fans started to wonder what was said between the two players, and Thomas gave everyone a clue after the game.

According to Tania Ganguli of The Los Angeles Times, Thomas expressed that their argument started when Rondo brought up the tribute video that the Celtics originally had planned for Thomas.

Isaiah Thomas said Rondo brought up the video tribute kerfuffle today when they went at it. He said Rondo hit him in the face 3 times without consequence before he reacted. Says he doesn’t know Rondo and doesn’t know why Rondo reacted to him the way he did.

This is interesting. It appears that Rondo is a bit sour because the Celtics offered to give Thomas a tribute video during his return to Boston. This probably didn't sit well for Rondo, who felt that Thomas didn't deserve it.

In any case, this is definitely just one side of the story. Word of this report will get back to Rondo and he should give his own account of what happened and why he acted the way he did.
