Amidst all the scathing criticism, Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball managed to make NBA history once again. He did it once before by beating out Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James as the youngest player in league history to record a triple-double.

Now he has done it again by recording yet another triple-double last night against the Denver Nuggets. According to Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints, Ball's feat puts him in some pretty elite company.

The Lakers rookie finished with 11 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists. His 16 rebounds were not only more than any rookie this season, but were also the most by any rookie guard over the past 17 years.

Lonzo Ball has been highly-scrutinized for most of the 2017-18 NBA season thus far due to his glaring troubles from the field. However, he has still managed to string together some solid all-around performances in a good amount of games he has played in.

Despite his strong performance, the rookie still has yet to emerge from his shooting slump. Ball will continue to deal with his fair share of ups and downs as the season goes on, but if he can continue to produce strong overall outings while his shot improves, the Lakers will be in good shape moving forward.
