Memphis Grizzlies swingman Andre Iguodala has yet to log-in a single second in the 2019-20 NBA regular season. The three-time NBA champion is one of the biggest names expected to be on the move in the NBA trade deadline which ends on Thursday.
Since being traded away by the Golden State Warriors over the summer, Iguodala has made it clear that he would rather play for a contender than the rebuilding Grizzlies franchise.
The 35-year-old is on the final year of a three-year deal worth $45 million he signed with Dubs in 2017. He is set to earn $17 million this season.
Per David Aldridge, Iguodala will reportedly sit out the rest of the season if he does not get his wish to be traded to a contender.
Per league sources, Andre Iguodala is prepared to sit out the rest of this season if Memphis isn’t able to orchestrate a trade with one of the agreed-upon teams he designated by Thursday’s trade deadline.

With the Grizzlies likely to be forced to trade Iggy, we take a look at three teams who could certainly benefit from having the seasoned vet on their roster.
Los Angeles Lakers
Just minutes after Andre Iguodala's trade to Memphis was finalized, rumors began swirling around that he will eventually be bought out and join the re-tooled Lakers squad led by superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
That, of course, never came to fruition since Memphis was reportedly unwilling to help out a Western Conference contender.
The West-leading Lakers will look to continue their blazing start this year. Adding a player of Iggy's caliber will certainly fortify their cause.
The 6-foot-6 swingman is still one of the best wing defenders in the league, and he will definitely come in handy for the Purple and Gold come playoff time. However, it will be easier said than done for LA, as they might have to give up some valuable assets to gain his services.
Los Angeles Clippers
Article Continues BelowSigning Iguodala seems like overkill for the Clippers, considering they have arguably two of best wing defenders in the league today in superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Iggy will likely come off the bench and make sure the Clippers' defense does not lose a step when the pair take a breather. He is also well-rounded enough to play multiple positions, and Doc Rivers could even opt to play small ball and use the trio at the same time.
That would indeed be a scary sight for opposing offenses around the league. Plucking Iguodala away would also mean that the Clippers can eliminate another capable defender who can match-up with both Leonard and George in a seven-game series.
Milwaukee Bucks
This seems like a bit of a stretch given how Iguodala seems keen on staying in the Western Conference and playing for the two prominent California teams.
If Iggy does really want a shot at a fourth NBA title, Milwaukee might just be the logical choice for him. The Bucks still hold the best record in the league by a mile.
He'll be a perfect compliment to superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and could help out All-Star Khris Middleton in defending the other team's best player.
Aside from his defense, Andre Iguodala brings valuable championship experience — something that the Bucks core is lacking. The team is on a mission to avenge last year's Eastern Conference Finals letdown, and Iggy might just be the piece to get them over the hump.
