Lamar Odom‘s career spiraled from ultimate success in a three-year span as a two-time NBA champion and consequently a 2011 Sixth Man of the Year award to struggling with drugs and alcohol addiction, derailing his career for good after failed stints with the Dallas Mavericks and the L.A. Clippers.
Having played seven of his 14 NBA seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, the do-it-all forward was back at the team's practice facility to watch the NBA Draft workouts take place, with the purple and gold having the No. 2 overall selection for the third year in a row.

Odom has shown interest in joining the Lakers' staff before, and now with Brian Shaw and Mark Madsen (both former Lakers), he's likely hoping head coach Luke Walton has another spot for a former player on his bench.
The Rhode Island standout could likely do wonders for Julius Randle, who is looking to emulate the likes of Draymond Green in his ability to guard multiple positions and make use of his vision running the open court — something Odom made a career out of during his time with Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol.
His input could be of great assistance, mentoring the plethora of youth this team has collected over the years, helping guide them onto a winning track.
