Los Angeles Lakers small forward Kyle Kuzma took to Twitter on Monday to talk about police reform in America.
Kuzma wants police officers to be held accountable if they break the law.
While we’re demanding change, right now in CA Dems are REFUSING to pass modest police reform that would keep abusive officers out of the state and end qualified immunity! @AssemblyDems are you going to make real change or just pretend like you hear us?!? #PassSB731

Police can break the law and have not be held accountable for it. #SB731 prohibits this! As a resident of California I say we need this passed for moderate police reform!

Kuzma also believes police need better training:
“Police, just like the NBA, it’s a brotherhood. You stand up for your own a lot. But the talks I’ve had with good policemen, it’s about the training aspect. That’s the biggest thing. They don’t really have budgets to have the proper training and knowledge,” #Lakers @kylekuzma.

Kyle Kuzma is off on the budget aspect, but he's right that better training and overall reform is needed when it comes to the police.

Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back in Wisconsin by police despite being unarmed and not committing a crime. Blake is paralyzed from the waist down.
Kyle Kuzma, the Lakers and the whole NBA were rocked by the Blake shooting. The Milwaukee Bucks protested their Game 5 against the Orlando Magic, and the rest of the NBA followed suit and went on strike.
Games, though, resumed this past weekend, where the Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 5 to advance to the second round of the playoffs.
In the Blazers series, Kyle Kuzma averaged 10.8 points and 4.4 rebounds in 24.2 minutes per game off the bench. The talented swingman shot 36.0 percent from the field, 30.4 percent from beyond the arc and 73.3 percent from the free-throw line.
The Lakers will face the Houston Rockets or Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round. The Rockets currently lead the Thunder 3-2 in the first round and have former MVP Russell Westbrook back in the lineup.
For Los Angeles to ultimately win the title, Kuzma will have to be the third option on offense and be productive behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
