In recent weeks, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball has found himself in the headlines for things away from the basketball court as he caught much flak for what was perceived as dissing Nas by stating that he's no longer Hip-Hop.
The 19-year-old has since backtracked from those comments back stating that he doesn't believe that the current generation is listening to Nas anymore as their basis for the genre by instead listening to artists such as Migos and Future.
During a recent interview with Roger Krastz of XXL, Ball revealed that his favorite rapper is none other than Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne is regarded as one of the best in the genre prior to this current group of music artists. Although his level of production isn't the same as it was a few years back, he is still well respected among fans and peers alike.
This subject matter may not have to do anything with the game of basketball, but this may put him in better graces with those connected to the Hip Hop community.
