Rajon Rondo is back in the Orlando bubble with the Los Angeles Lakers, and Alex Caruso says the veteran guard is thrilled to be at Walt Disney World again.

While speaking to Lakers reporters on Monday, Caruso said Rondo was so excited to return to practice that the former Boston Celtics star shared a photo to the Lakers’ group text of his uniform laid out and ready for him to wear like it was the first day of school, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

The Lakers will take on the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2020 playoffs. Los Angeles is hoping Rondo will be back to run the second unit and help defend Blazers superstar Damian Lillard, who is the hottest player on the planet right now. The veteran is still doubtful to be ready for Game 1 on Tuesday, but Frank Vogel wouldn't rule him out, per Bill Oram of The Athletic.

Rondo appeared in 48 games for the Lakers during the 2019-20 regular season. He averaged 7.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 20.5 minutes per game. The four-time All-Star also shot 41.8 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 65.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Along with Rondo, Caruso has to play at a high level in the postseason for the Lakers to ultimately win the whole thing. The cult favorite put up 5.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in the regular season. He played 18.4 minutes per game for the Lakers.
