There is a tradition growing in LeBron James' Los Angeles home. Every Tuesday for the past few weeks, the Lakers superstar has been celebrating what he and his family are calling “Taco Tuesday.” James' new teammate, Anthony Davis, was invited to one of the dinner parties shortly after joining the Lakers this offseason.

During a recent guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Davis revealed some of the finer details of James' Tuesday gatherings:

“(Taco Tuesday) is a real tradition (for LeBron and his family),” Davis said during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“His chef does a great job,” Davis added when asked if the tacos at the James house are of the hard or soft variety. “He has a combination of everything. But LeBron is on this little diet, so he has his own thing. We got hard and soft shell tacos… all types of vegetables. It's a real tradition.”

James' Tuesday tradition began in May, when he shared a clip of he and his family getting hyped for tacos:

Davis, who will be wearing No. 3 for the Lakers in the coming season, added that James was willing to give him the No. 23. However, due to financial complications with Nike, James was unable to give Davis his number.

“The first time we had dinner since the trade happened, (LeBron) was like, ‘Look, here's 23,'” Davis said. “I was like, ‘Oh, wow. Thanks LeBron.' And then a lot of stuff happened with the rules and everything, so I couldn't get 23.”

23 or not, Davis and James seem to be getting along quite well.

“It was definitely a no-brainer,” Davis said of his decision to join James and the Lakers. “I'm here now, and we're excited.”
