Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis says he plans to play on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors.

Davis says “everything is fine” with his thumb. The MRI on the right thumb of Davis came back negative.

The Lakers have two preseason games left before the regular season starts. Davis has been a force thus far with the Purple and Gold. Lakers fans were initially worried when Davis got hurt in China against the Brooklyn Nets since the six-time All-Star has a history of suffering injuries.

The fact that Davis is ready to get back out there in a preseason game, though, shows the Chicago native is indeed okay.

Last season with the New Orleans Pelicans, Davis put up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks in 56 games. He shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 33.1 percent from the 3-point line and 79.4 percent from the charity stripe.

Davis has career averages of 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The new Lakers star has the third-best player efficiency rating in NBA history at 27.42. LeBron James is second at 27.59.

The Lakers will be cautious with Davis during the regular season if he's dealing with pain anywhere in his body. AD becomes a free agent next summer once he declines his 2019-20 player option.
