There was probably no way for Anthony Davis to return to New Orleans other than dominate the floor as a member of the Log Angeles Lakers. Given the tumultuous final year he had with the New Orleans Pelicans, it wouldn't be weird if he had any bad memories about the franchise.
However, he claims that he has nothing but love for the franchise that drafted him first overall in the 2012 Draft.
During his postgame interview, AD said that the trade fiasco last season involving him was a tough one for all of the sides involved, but he believes both parties are happy with their current situation. He was more than happy to get the W for the Purple and Gold, though.

Davis also mentioned that he has nothing but love for his former teammates. He especially said this about Jrue Holiday, who was one of his constant teammates throughout his entire stint with the Pelicans.
“I love him,” Davis said in his teammate. “That's my guy. Six years together, we talk to each other all the time. He's a guy who competes. He competed tonight, he made it tough for us. Any time I get a chance to play against him now, it was nothing but fun… The brotherhood, it's bigger than basketball.”
The Brow had an incredible game in his return to the Big Easy. Through 37 minutes of play, he scored a season-high 41 points. He backed that scoring burst with nine rebounds and three steals.
With the result, the Lakers have extended their winning streak to nine and remain atop the Western Conference standings with a 16-2 record.
