Since the Los Angele Lakers selected Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick in this year's draft, there has been nothing but praise thrown his way from the organization and his new teammates.

Second-year forward Brandon Ingram added to it during a recent interview with Mike Trudell of Lakers.com by touting the rookie point guard's overall game and personality on the court.

“You love everything on the court about him. The way he passes the basketball. His demeanor. The way he works. But I think the thing about him is his attitude and his character. The way he passes the basketball like no one else … but he’s different. He’s always joking. Just a great guy, someone you want to play with. You can go around with a guy of his caliber, the way he plays, he could be cocky … but I don’t see anything cocky. He’s humble. He comes in here early and works every day. He’s just him, he doesn’t want to be anybody else.”

What has quickly become noticeable is that Ball's playing style and character have become quite infectious to his teammates on the court. There is much more excitement around the team due to what Ball brings to the table and how that impacts the play of whoever else is on the court with him.

The 19-year-old has already shown the ability to help uplift the play of his teammates to playing more efficient and effective on the offensive end of the court. In essence, Ball's primary motive of being a pass-first point guard has helped bring a renewed sense of commitment and excitement to the team.

Ingram could be one of the biggest beneficiaries of that this upcoming season as he's expected to take over the primary scoring responsibilities in his second campaign. This could all shape up to be an extremely entertaining season for the Lakers.
