The new dynamic duo of the Los Angeles Lakers consists of two very young and very different players. Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball have been handed the keys to the franchise with training camp getting underway at the team's new practice facility on Tuesday.

Ball got the Lakers avid fan base buzzing after an incredible run to a Summer League championship back in July. Lonzo's remarkable passing ability was put on display that has carried over to training camp with Ingram already signing his teammates' praises.

“It's natural as a point guard, for him anyway, to see where guys want passes where guys make shots at,” Ingram said of Ball. “I think it is very natural for Lonzo to figure that out.”

“The way he passes the ball I think it makes our guys want to run and play fast. Once we learn how to defensive rebound we'll have a lot of fastbreaks.”

Although Ingram will be the leader heading into his sophomore season with the Lakers, all eyes will be on Ball with many anticipating the return of a Showtime-style of basketball that Magic Johnson made so entertaining and successful back in the 80s.

Training camp for the Lakers will continue on Wednesday with two-a-day practices leading up to the team's first preseason game on Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The Lakers will play six preseason games before getting the 2017-18 NBA season underway on Oct. 19 against the L.A. Clippers at the Staples Center.
