The Los Angeles Lakers are not looking too hot right now.
They signed LeBron James last summer, but yet they only won 37 games and missed the playoffs, marking the first time a LeBron-led team failed to qualify for the postseason since his second year in the league back in 2005. The young players don't seem to trust James. Magic Johnson stepped down as team president at the end of the season. Luke Walton was dismissed. Jeanie Buss apparently does not know who to trust.
Based on all of that, one might come to the conclusion that the Lakers are in a state of dysfunction, but new head coach Frank Vogel, who was welcomed in a introductory press conference on Monday, doesn't agree with the idea that LA's front office is a mess:

Of course, until the Lakers can actually prove that they are together and have moved past the drama of this season, this shouldn't be seen as anything more than lip service from Vogel, as he is obviously not going to badmouth the organization upon his immediate arrival with the club.
It really seems hard to deny that there have been a lot of internal issues in Los Angeles, with Johnson himself even saying that part of the reason he resigned was because of backstabbing that was going on within the franchise.
