Alex Caruso is one of the most beloved players on the Los Angeles Lakers roster. His energetic plays, combined with his dunks and 3-point shooting, has made him a must-see fixture for the fans that flock Staples Center on the regular.

The growth of his status as a local icon has been notable that some fans are already giving him an amusing moniker: the Bald Mamba. Bleacher Report have crafted a brilliant article about him and promoted it on their Twitter page.

Every Laker fan was understandably thrilled with the article. Teammate Kyle Kuzma jumped on the Caruso hype train as well with his approving tweet.

This isn't the first time Caruso got praise from the power forward. Kuzma said he's not surprised about Caruso's hops earlier this year and claimed that that the 25-year-old guard is one of the most vertically gifted people on the Lakers.

Caruso doesn't have numbers that can grab your attention, but his growth during the 2018-19 season shows he will be an important cog for the Lakers' second unit for years to come. He averaged 9.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.o steal per game in 21 minutes of action in 2018-19.

The man himself cannot believe that he's going to suit up for the Purple and Gold for the next two years.

“You think of the Lakers, it’s LeBron, Anthony Davis, Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, guys who are bona fide NBA players,” Caruso said in deep admiration, per Bleacher Report.

“And then there’s me.”

Fans will continue to look to him to provide energy and magnificent slams off the bench. And if everything goes well, he may end the season an NBA champion.
