If there's still anybody questioning whether LeBron James is back to full strength, show them the Los Angeles Lakers' first half against the Portland Trail Blazers on New Year's Eve.

King James was en fuego on Friday night, piling on a stat line of 27 points, 10 rebounds and four threes all before the halftime buzzer. The Lakers star was an efficient 10-for-18 from the field and had zero turnovers up to that point.

LeBron even threw down a nasty flush for good measure. Check out the Lakers superstar stuff the rim with a thunderous jam.

The monster showing from the 37-year-old LeBron James even had his former Lakers teammate Kyle Kuzma in a tizzy over what he was seeing. The Washington Wizards forward got rhetorical in his stunned reaction on Twitter.

LeBron James hasn't just defied Father Time with his torrid stretch of late, he probably turned him into a Lakers fan. Before the Blazers contest, King James ripped off a stretch of 30 or more points with at least 50% shooting in each of them – the first time he's ever done that in his 19-year NBA career.

However, the frustrating part is that the Lakers have not been winning despite LeBron's best efforts. They've gone 1-7 in their last eight, the first game being when Anthony Davis hurt himself and was subsequently put on the injury list.

If the Lakers hope to reach the heights they were expecting prior to the start of the season, they'll need LeBron James to keep this same energy going forward. Whether or not his 37-year-old body can take the beating remains to be seen. However, it's never been wise to bet against the King.
