Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James just added “MLB franchise owner” to his ever-growing list of accolades. The King has recently come out with his first activity on social media since purchasing the Boston Red Sox, and it turned out to be a pretty fitting response from LeBron.

James needed just three emojis to confirm the reports via Facebook:

It was announced on Monday that Red Sox majority team owner Joh Henry had agreed to sell a little over 10% of his stake of the Fenway Sports Group, the company that owns the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool Football Club, to RedBird Capital Partners. LeBron also joined in on the action, himself purchasing roughly 1% of the team in a separate deal.

James himself has since confirmed the news with the use of three simple emojis. He literally posted a red emoji, a socks emoji, and then the smiling emoji with the sunglasses to cap things off. As it seems, LeBron is pretty chill with his recent multi-million dollar purchase.

This is not the first time the Lakers star has purchased a stake in a professional sports team. He is also currently a part-owner of Liverpool FC, one of the biggest football clubs in all of Europe and the current title holders in the English Premier League, via the Fenway Sports Group. This is quickly becoming a trend for LeBron James, and it would not be surprising if he ends up buying more teams in the near future. We all know he's good for it.
