Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James doesn't really care what role he plays on the team this season.

James is usually the primary ball-handler on his teams. The four-time MVP, though, has said multiple times the Lakers are going to run the offense through Anthony Davis.

If the game is close in the fourth quarter, LeBron James will have the ball in his hands. James and Anthony Davis are two of the top-five players in the NBA. The Lakers are hoping the two superstars can bring banner number 17 to the franchise in 2019-20.

James averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 55 games last season while shooting 51.0 percent from the field, 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line. The Lakers have other ball-handlers on the roster such as Rajon Rondo and Quinn Cook, but we know LeBron is going to have the ball in crunch time. It's always been like that.

With Davis in the fold, though, James has that second superstar he needs to compete for a title. For the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018-19, Davis put up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks in 56 games. The six-time All-Star shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 33.1 percent from the 3-point line and 79.4 percent from the charity stripe.
