A lot went down in the NFL world on Thursday. One of the biggest headlines came in the form of Cam Newton agreeing to sign with the Carolina Panthers in an emotional reunion. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James just had to take notice and he had an epic message for the former league MVP.

LeBron James himself is a sucker for reunions so he just had to shout out Newton for his decision to return with the Panthers:

The Lakers star was clearly delighted with Newton running it back with the team that drafted him first overall exactly one decade ago. LeBron is probably feeling an emotional connection here considering how he too once returned to his beloved Cleveland Cavaliers after a brief stint with the Miami Heat. For his part, however, LeBron delivered a title for the Cavs, and it remains to be seen if Newton will be able to replicate this awesome feat now that he's back with the Panthers.

This wasn't all LeBron James was celebrating on Thursday. The Lakers superstar was also more than happy to hear about Odell Beckham Jr. signing with the Los Angeles Rams. James just had to send a warm welcome to OBJ as the latest LA star.
